The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia is honored to welcome Dr. Khadija Ossoble Ali as the newly appointed Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the European Union. Dr. Ali, an experienced leader and advocate for peace, women’s empowerment, and societal development, brings a distinguished record of service and expertise in diplomacy, conflict resolution, and governance.
Dr. Ali, who has previously served as a Minister of State and Member of Parliament, has made significant contributions to Somalia’s national reconciliation efforts, electoral transparency, and community-building initiatives. Her work as a commissioner with the National Independent Electoral Commission and as an adviser on state-building has been instrumental in fostering stability and development within Somalia. Dr. Ali’s commitment to economic empowerment is also reflected in her founding of Idman Community Bank, supporting marginalized communities, women, and youth in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Ambassador Ali expressed her excitement and dedication to fostering collaboration between Somalia and the EU, stating, “I am committed to strengthening Somalia’s relationships with Belgium and the European Union, promoting peace, mutual growth, and the well-being of Somali nationals abroad.”
